mounjaro_edited.jpg

Mounjaro contains tirzepatide, a dual-acting medication that mimics two natural hormones — GLP-1 and GIP. Together, they reduce appetite, slow stomach emptying, improve blood sugar control, and support clinically significant weight loss.

It is supplied as a once-weekly injection in a pre-filled pen for subcutaneous use.

  • Can be injected in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.

  • Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation.

  • Your prescriber will provide a structured dose titration schedule to minimise side effects.

  • Q: Can I take Mounjaro if I am trying for a baby?
A: No. It should not be used if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

  • Q: Is Mounjaro different from Wegovy?
A: Yes, Mounjaro activates both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, which may offer additional benefits for weight and metabolic control compared to GLP-1 only medicines.

  • Q: Can I use it with other weight loss medications?
A: No. It should not be combined with other weight loss medicines unless prescribed by your doctor.

  • Q: How long will I need treatment?
A: Treatment length depends on individual progress, tolerance, and prescriber review. Long-term use may be recommended to maintain results.
